Like to Bike – Barefield National School

At Barefield National School a fun leisure cycle for all the school children, including a bike check on the day and some advice regarding proper maintenance - by Burren Cycling club.

A safe off road cycle for younger children and a more challenging cycle for older pupils at the base of the Slieve Bloom Mountains.

Emper National School – Bike Safety Talk and Blueway Trek

We would hope to ask a local bike expert to come and speak to our pupils regarding bike safety. Pupils would then convene at the local Blueway Trail near Rathcaled in Emper and go on the Blueway as far as Abbeyshrule and back again. A picnic would be organised at a location in Abbeyshrule (playground) as a treat for all who participated. Parents would be welcome to join also.

Ursuline College Bikeweek Cycle

Ursuline College Ursuline Convent, Finisklin Rd, Sligo, Ireland

Students from Ursuline College will embark on a 17km round trip from the school to Strandhill village, Co. Sligo breaking there for ice-cream before returning along the same route back to the school.
