Run Dublin’s Coastline in Style

We would encourage all participants to consider public transport.

Dublin Bus: Bus Route N4 – stops outside EastPoint Business Park – the race village is a 5 min walk from here.

DART Line: Clontarf Station – 15 min walk to race village from the station.

By Bike: There will be covered bike parking facilities at the event. These are located right next to Number Collection and Bag Drop.

The Race Route

The start/finish line for the Half Marathon and 5-Mile, is located in the EastPoint business park.

 

Half Marathon:  Half marathoners will leave EastPoint Business Park at 10:00hrs and begin their journey heading out along the EastPoint Causeway, towards the Alfie Byrne Road and onto the promenade along Clontarf Road. The route travels past St. Annes Park and on to Sutton before turning around. On the route back, runners will take in an out-and back loop of the Causeway Road before the finishing stretch back along the promenade towards the finish-line  back into EastPoint Business Park.

On the Route: There will be signage and marshals on the course to direct you. Please respect the marshals as they are volunteers from local clubs.

There will be a lead bike ahead of Wave 1 for both Half Marathon and 5-Mile.

Road diversion in place

Traffic Diversions:

  • The Wooden Bridge on Bull Island will be closed from 10am to 1pm approx.
  • The inbound lane along the along the Clontarf Road & James Larkin Road between the Woodenbridge and Howth Road Junction will be temporarily closed from 10am to 1pm approx.
  • Causeway Road be local access only from 10am to 12:45pm approx.

Bag Drop
Beside start/finish area, open from 8:00am.

Use tear-off label from race number.

One small waterproof bag only.

Due to road closures, diversions will be in place for both routes from approximately 09:45 – 13:00.

Route 6:

Towards Lower Abbey Street:
Normal route to Blackbanks, divert via Howth Road, Raheny Village and back on to normal route.
Towards Howth Dart Station:
Normal route.

Route 130:

Towards Talbot Street:
Normal route to Mount Prospect Avenue Junction, St. Gabriel’s Road, Seafield Road East, Clontarf Road and back on to normal route.
Towards Castle Avenue:
Normal route.

EastPoint Shuttle Bus will be looping from 07:00hrs to 09:00hrs.

If there is a queue, we advise walking rather than waiting and using the opportunity to gently warm up the legs!
