The type of personal information we collect

You can use our service to find out about transport services, to plan journeys and to get news about journeys you are planning to take, for example if a bus is running late. To get alerts you need to create an account on the website or app. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details about the data we collect.

We do not use cookies, however, we do store information on your device which helps us give you personalised information:

  • A session ID so we can save recently accessed information for as long as you keep the website or app open
  • An authentication token which identifies you by your email address. This also includes your authorisation level.
  • Stops, services and journeys you have chosen as “favourites”
  • Any journey options where you have changed the defaults, for example if you change your preferred walking speed or select the option which gives you journeys with fewer changes.

We also store a code that identifies your mobile device. This is not stored alongside or linked with your email address and it only identifies the device, not an individual person. You can sign up for alerts to your mobile device without giving us any personal information such as a name or email address.
