Our secondary school Royal Canal Greenway cycles take place right throughout bike week. School groups will get the opportunity to cycle along a scenic stretch of the Royal Canal Greenway in Longford. Each cycle will be guided by experienced cycling tutors. Safe cycling practice will be incorporated in to each cycle.
A gentle social spin to Kilbeg pier and back to Headford, followed by refreshments or a picnic on the pier.

PRIVATE SCHOOL EVENT We will host events for all the children in the school including: Infant cycle ramp course. First &second cycle Smith O Briens 3rd & 4th cycle Clarisford. 5th & 6th cycle in Ballyhoura.
Meitheal will come into the school and do bike checks on all bikes and have the older children do a workshop during this time so they are able to look after their own bikes. Parents of children who cycle to school and wish to cycle to school will be invited to join also.
A 6 week Cycling Programme for over 50yr Active Adults
Based at Ticknock National Mountain bike Centre, Biking.ie are offering an introduction to the fundamental skills of Mountain biking(MTB) for ages 11yrs+. Learn to safely navigate these graded trails while enjoying the outdoors of the Dublin Mountains. Group tuition, bike and helmet hire are included.
Group of TY students will do a historical tour will leave Coláiste Iognáid and cycle to Terryland castle, Menlo castle. On the way back they will cycle back to St. Joseph’s Special school and help with their initiative
